Acceptable Use Policy

Effective September 12, 2026 · 8 sections

Most of this product's design is a rule about what it will not do. This page states the other half — the rules it holds you to. They exist because one dealership gaming Marketplace makes the tool less safe for every dealership using it.

01The one rule the whole product is built around

You click Publish. Every time, on every listing, on every platform.

Facebook Marketplace has no posting API and flags automation hard, and a restricted account takes your entire lead pipeline with it. So ListLot automates everything expensive and tedious and stops one keystroke short. Do not try to close that gap.

Scripting, macro-ing or otherwise automating the Publish click is a breach of this policy and grounds for immediate suspension — not because we are precious about it, but because it is how accounts die.

02What ListLot will never do

Stated here so you can hold us to it:

  • Auto-submit — the extension fills a form and stops. It has no code path that presses Publish.
  • Run headless — no server-side posting, no browser farm, nothing posting while you are asleep.
  • Bulk-loop — one listing at a time, with human pacing between actions.
  • Rotate accounts — we will not help you spread posting across accounts to get around a platform limit.
  • Mass-message buyers — reply drafting produces one draft for one thread that one person sends.

03Inventory you may sync

  • Your own — sync a dealership website you own or are authorised to represent. That is the only kind of URL this feature is for.
  • Not a competitor's — do not point ListLot at another dealer's site to harvest their inventory, their photos or their copy.
  • Not a marketplace — do not use the sync to scrape a classifieds site, an auction platform or an aggregator.
  • Vehicles you can sell — only list vehicles your dealership actually has the right to sell.

04Honest listings

A listing generated by ListLot still carries your dealership's name. Do not use the tool to publish anything you could not defend to a buyer standing in front of the car.

  • Do not misstate price, mileage, condition, options, or ownership history.
  • Do not conceal a salvage, rebuilt, flood, lemon or otherwise branded title. Generated copy is instructed to state a branded title plainly — do not edit that out.
  • Do not advertise a price that is not available to a buyer on the terms shown, including finance-contingent and trade-contingent pricing presented as the cash price.
  • Do not use photos of a different vehicle, or stock photography, as the photos of a specific car.
  • Do not publish credit, financing or “no credit check” claims that your dealership cannot honour, and do not use ListLot to produce copy that discriminates on a protected characteristic.

05Playing straight with the platforms

  • No ban evasion — do not use ListLot from a new account created to get around a suspension on another.
  • No borrowed accounts — post from accounts your dealership controls — not bought, rented or borrowed ones, and not an employee's personal profile used as cover.
  • No duplicate stuffing — one live listing per vehicle per platform. Reposting on the cadence ListLot tracks is fine; running four copies of the same truck to hold four search slots is not.
  • No keyword stuffing — do not pad a listing with unrelated makes and models to catch searches for cars you do not have.
  • Respect their terms — each platform's rules apply to you in full, and this policy does not override them.

06Buyer conversations

Reply drafting exists so a busy salesperson answers a real buyer faster, in their own voice. It is not a messaging blaster.

  • Send drafts one at a time, to people who messaged you first.
  • Do not use synced conversations to build a marketing list, and do not export buyer contact details into an unrelated outbound campaign.
  • Do not present an AI draft as something it is not — if a buyer asks whether they are talking to a person, they are, so answer honestly.
  • Follow the messaging and consent rules that apply to you, including the TCPA if a conversation moves to SMS.

07The service itself

  • Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense or white-label ListLot or the extension.
  • Do not share one seat among people who should have their own — seats are how the product is priced, and roles are how it is kept safe.
  • Do not probe, load-test or attack the service. Good-faith security research is welcome and has its own channel.
  • Do not upload malware, or content that is illegal to possess or distribute.

08How this is enforced

In almost every case the first step is an email asking what happened, because most breaches of a policy like this are a misunderstanding. From there we may limit a feature, suspend the workspace, or terminate the account — and for anything involving fraud or an immediate platform risk, we may suspend first and talk after.

To report a dealership misusing ListLot, or to appeal an action we took, email emery@listlot.app.
